AI Terms of Service

2.1 AI Features are strictly opt-in. No Customer Data will be processed by AI systems until you explicitly enable AI Features in your account settings.

2.2 You may disable AI Features at any time through your account settings. Upon disabling, no new Customer Data will be sent to AI providers.

2.3 Enabling AI Features constitutes your consent to the processing of Customer Data as described in these AI Terms and our AI Usage Policy.

3.1 When AI Features are enabled, relevant portions of Customer Data may be transmitted to third-party AI providers for processing. See our AI Usage Policy for details on providers and data types.

3.2 We apply data minimization principles, sending only the minimum data necessary to fulfill the specific AI use case.

3.3 All data transfers to AI providers are encrypted using TLS. Data at rest is encrypted using industry-standard encryption.

3.4 AI processing occurs in sandboxed environments with no general internet access, ensuring controlled and secure operation.

4.1 We use third-party AI providers including Anthropic, OpenAI, and AWS Bedrock. Each provider is contractually bound to:

• Not use Customer Data for training their models
• Not use Customer Data for advertising or any purpose other than the requested inference
• Maintain appropriate security measures

4.2 You may choose to use your own AWS Bedrock keys, giving you direct control over AI processing and data handling.

4.3 We may update our AI providers from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in advance.

5.1 Metoro does not use Customer Data to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models.

5.2 Our AI providers are contractually prohibited from using Customer Data for model training or improvement.

5.3 Customer Data is used solely for real-time inference to provide AI Features and is not retained by AI providers beyond the immediate processing session.

6.1 AI Output is provided for informational and assistive purposes only. It should not be relied upon as the sole basis for critical decisions.

6.2 AI Output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or incomplete information. You are responsible for verifying AI Output before taking action.

6.3 Any AI-generated recommendations that may impact your systems (e.g., configuration changes, code modifications) must be reviewed by qualified personnel before implementation.

6.4 AI Output is stored in Metoro's systems according to your data retention settings and is subject to our standard security controls.

7.1 AI Features are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

7.2 Metoro shall not be liable for any damages arising from reliance on AI Output, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

7.3 You acknowledge that AI technology is evolving and that AI Features may produce unexpected or incorrect results.

8.1 You agree not to use AI Features to:

• Process data you do not have the right to process
• Attempt to extract or reverse-engineer AI models
• Circumvent usage limits or security controls
• Generate harmful, malicious, or illegal content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

8.2 Violation of acceptable use policies may result in suspension or termination of AI Features.

9.1 You retain all rights to your Customer Data. These AI Terms do not grant Metoro any ownership rights to Customer Data.

9.2 You grant Metoro a limited license to process Customer Data as necessary to provide AI Features.

9.3 Upon termination of services or disabling of AI Features, we will cease processing Customer Data through AI systems in accordance with our data retention policies.

10.1 We may update these AI Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our AI Features, providers, or practices.

10.2 Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Metoro platform at least 30 days before taking effect.

10.3 Continued use of AI Features after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
